After entering in the Indian market with it’s quad-core offering, the Dream D1, Chinese smartphone maker, Gionee is now looking to cater to the needs of the entry-level mobile phone buyer in India, with it’s two new entry-level phones, the Gionee P1 and Gionee L800.
Starting with the Gionee P1, it is an entry-level smartphone and comes with a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display. The smartphone will be running on Android OS,
 but surprisingly no version has been specified yet. However, just a 
glance at the specs sheet will suggest that the smartphone will be 
running on Android 2.3.x Gingerbread.

The Gionee P1 is powered by a 1GHz 
single-core Cortex A9 CPU and gets dual-cameras, with a 2 megapixel 
shooter at the back and a VGA camera at the front. The smartphone gets 
dual-SIM card slots and comes with 512MB of internal storage, which can 
be expanded by up to 32GB using a micro-SD card. The Gionee P1 also gets
 a 1,500mAH battery.
Priced at Rs.4,999, the Gionee P1 will 
come in only a black color variant and as introductory offer, the 
company is bundling a 4GB micro-SD card, a screen protector and 2 cases 
along with the smartphone for free.
Coming to the Gionee L800,
 it is an entry-level feature phone that offers a massive 3,000mAh 
battery and promises a standby time of 30 days on a single charge. The 
dual-SIM phone comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera and offers a wire-free 
FM. The device comes pre-installed with apps like Facebook,
 twitter, Opera Mini, etc. Priced at Rs.2,599, the Gionne L800 will come
 in Black and Golden color options, and the company is bundling a 4GB 
micro-SD card and a phone pouch along with the phone for free.
