Lava Etab Connect With 7" Display And 3G Goes On Sale For Rs.9,499

Following suit of the Micromax Funbook Talk P360 tablet which was launched yesterday, another Indian manufacturer, Lava has launch it’s new budget Android tablet, the Lava Etab Connect. The new budget Android tablet is priced at Rs.9,499 and is now available up for sale online.

Commenting at the launch of the new tablet, SN Rai, Co-Founder and Director, LAVA International, said,

The Lava Etab Connect doesn’t offer anything spectacular in terms of specifications, and gets a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor paired with just 512MB of RAM, which is quite disappointing, considering that the Micromax Funbook Talk P360 gets a faster processor speed as well as higher, 1GB of RAM.

The tablet runs on Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB using a micro-SD card. The rear of the Lava Etab Connect gets a 2 megapixel camera, while at the front, there is a 0.3 megapixel camera for video calling. The tablet supports voice calling, and gets a SIM card slot which offers 3G connectivity as well. 

Other connectivity options on the Lava Etab Connect include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS, and tablet also houses a 3,000mAh battery. Lava has pre-loaded the device with various applications like Merit Nation, EduKart, BigFlix, Dioman Comics, etc. and claims that the value of the pre-loaded content on the device is close to Rs.15,000.
