HP Launches Budget 8-inch Android Tablet.


The HP 8 1401 is a quad-core tablet that runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. “It’s got responsiveness that delivers entertainment where you want it. Sleek and smart with technology you can trust, the HP 8 is big on performance, slim in style, and small on price,” claims the company.
 

The tablet features a 7.85 inch, 1024 x 768 pixel display, an Allwinner A31s ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 3800mAh battery for up to 7 hours of run time.

It has a microSd card slot, 802.11n WiFi. There’s a 2MP rear fix-focused rear camera and a front-facing VGA camera. The tablet runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The HP 8 1401 measures 7.9? x 5.4? x 0.3? and weighs about 11 ounces.

HP does give you 25GB of cloud storage for the life of the device. And when it comes to pricing, HP is offering up its latest tablet for just $169.99 in the U.S. No word yet on Indian availability or pricing,
