It’s raining budget Android tablets this week, as after Micromax and Lava, another Indian manufacturer Karbonn has also launched a new low-cost Android tablet in the Indian market, the Karbonn Smart Tab TA-Fone A37 Kommunicate 3G. With such a horribly -long name, it looks like the company has squashed all it’s devices into one!
Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean,
the TA-Fone A37 (lets use that for simplicity purposes!) gets dual-SIM
card slots and offers voice calling as well as 3G functionality. The
tablet is priced at Rs.9,490.
The Karbonn TA-Fone A37 gets a 7-inch display with a resolution
of 800 x 480 pixels, and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor
paired with 512MB of RAM. The tablet gets 4GB of internal storage, which
can be expanded by up to 32GB using a micro-SD card.
At the back, the TA-Fone A37 gets a 2
megapixel camera while at the front, there is a VGA camera for
video calling and the tablet also supports 1080p video playback. The
tablet houses a 3,000mAh battery and apart from 3G, it gets Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth and GPS for connectivity.
The new tablet from Karbonn will take-on the likes of newly announced Micromax Funbook Talk P360 and the Lava Etab Connect. However, the Karbonn TA-Fone A37
trumps both these devices in terms of the CPU, as it gets a dual-core
CPU whereas the other two device run on a single-core CPU.
