It seems that HTC and it’s latest flagship smartphone, the HTC One are in for a tough time in the Indian market, as a latest report by IBNLive suggests that the South Korean smartphone-maker, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S4 in India on April 25, and the smartphone will go on sale soon after, on April 27.
The website cites a source, and says that while the MRP of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be close to Rs.42,000, but the street price of the smartphone will be under Rs.40,000.
If this indeed turns out to be true, it will surely hurt the sales of HTC One a lot, considering that HTC One will be available at a best buy price of Rs.42,900 while according to this latest rumor, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be a good 3 grand cheaper than the HTC One.
Also, since the immense success of the
Galaxy S3, Samsung boasts of a better brand image than HTC, which will
surely work in favor of Samsung and help it drive more sales for the Samsung Galaxy S4.
