Activision have announced the 10th instalment in the Call of Duty
series and it is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation
3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and next-gen Xbox on November 5. Get ready
for an all new gameplay experience with new characters, settings and
story. The game is said make use next generation game engine, which will
set the standards for the series.
"Everyone was expecting us to make Modern Warfare 4, which would
have been the safe thing to do," said Infinity Ward executive producer
Mark Rubin, "but we're not resting on our laurels. We saw the console
transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of
Duty. So we're building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new
ideas and experiences for our players. We can't wait to share them with
our community." he added.
The game which comes from original Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward,
was first confirmed to be under development On February 7, 2013.
"Infinity Ward set the gold standard for first-person action for a
generation, and they're going to do it again with Call of Duty: Ghosts,"
said Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg.
"Ghosts delivers an all-new story, all-new characters, an all-new Call
of Duty world, all powered by a next generation Call of Duty engine,
which is a leap forward for the franchise. Infinity Ward is going all-in
to create the next generation of Call of Duty worthy of the world's
greatest fans." He added.
Activision have released a tailor for the game along with the artwork,
logo on the official Call of Duty: Ghosts Face Book Page. The company
has stated that they are going to reveal the game, worldwide on May 21,
along with the unavailing of the Next-Gen Xbox.
These are exiting times for gamers everywhere, as the highly awaited new
Xbox and the newest entry to the Call of Duty series, gets worldwide
unavailing, at the same time.
