PC-maker HP has refreshed the lineup of it’s ProBook Series of laptops, and announced the new ProBook 430, 440, 450, 455 and 470 laptops, with screen size ranging from 13.3-inches to 17.3-inches. According to the company, the new laptops are targeted at small businesses and are 36 percent thinner and 18 percent lighter than their predecessors.
The new laptops are made out of aluminum and will feature spill-resistant keyboards. The HP ProBook 440, 455 and 470 will start shipping this month in the United States with the 3rd generation of Intel Core processors / AMD Richland, while the ProBook 430 will start shipping in July with the 4th generation of Intel Core processors inside.
The HP Probook 430
will feature a 13.3-inch display, while the ProBook 440 and 445, will
sport a 14-inch screen. For those who fancy a larger screen. the ProBook
455 will get a 15-inch screen, while the ProBook 470 will max out with a
17.3-inch screen. All the models except the 470 feature a 1,366 x 768
pixel resolution display, while the 470 gets a 1,600 x 900 pixel
resolution display.
The new series also includes a
touch-enabled model, the ProBook 450, which is the first ever model in
the lineup to get a touchscreen.
All the laptops come with a conventional
HDD, with options of up to 1TB storage space, while the ProBook 430
also has an option for a 128GB SSD. Other features on the laptop inlcude
USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port and a webcam. The models will be running on
either Windows 8, Windows 7 or Suse Linux.
The new ProBook Series from HP starts at $499 for the ProBook 430. There is no announcement as far as the global availability of these laptops in concerned, but we’re pretty sure HP would refresh it’s ProBook lineup in other countries as well.
