Lenovo K900 India launch has been
pushed back to later this month, likely to May 20.
Earlier reported that the phablet
was set to launch in India on May 10, but there have been fresh developments
since.
While the reasons for the delay
aren't clear, It is likely due to the fact that company is still finalising
plans for the big marketing initiative it has planned for the device. Lenovo is
said to be betting on the K900 to make a big push in the India market. The
dealer network and channel partners are ready for the launch, as they have been
for a while, the source added.
Meanwhile, the Lenovo K900 has gone
on sale in China at a price (Yuan 3,299 or Rs. 29,000 approximately) that is
likely to test our earlier report of a sub-Rs. 25,000 price point in India.
