Not happy with your DND services in india? Apple gives you a joy and decides to give this feature with its new iOS7. Unlike Android third party apps, Apple chose its own way. Apple at WWDC 2013 launched its new iOS7 and detailed in its press release that the operating system includes Calls and messages blocking to prevent specific people from being able to contact you.

Apple will certainly evolve this feature, as with this the Call and text blocking on the iOS Do Not Disturb feature has an option to block calls and messages from all numbers except certain favorites or groups. Whereas Android lets apps like Mr number and many others let you block specific numbers or entire area codes, instantly hang up on them, or automatically send them to voicemail. Popularity of the app can be measured as WhitePages acquired it a week ago and it had racked up over seven million downloads before that.
WhitePages, which already has a Caller ID mobile product of its own, didn’t say how much it is paying for Mr Number.
“Truly effective call management must provide consumers not only an understanding of who’s on the other end of the line, but the ability to block spammers and unwanted callers and texters,” WhitePages CEO Alex Algard said in a statement. “Our users now have access to the best of both worlds.”

Previously Apple’s do not disturb feature only had the option to silence the calls in scheduled time. But now they have gone ahead and given you an option to block calls and messages from a specific number. It’s difficult to say that Apple had planned this feature while giving DND with ios6 or now they see the future value of these services with the outshining response on such third-party apps for Android.
