Samsung ATIV Q announced, runs Android and Windows simultaneously.

At an event in Londong, Samsung just announced its new ATIV Q hybrid machine. The machine can switch between tablet, typing, stand and writing positions. The USP of the machine has to be its 13.3 inch display that has an unprecedented resolution of 3200 x 1800. Samsung claims that the panel has been optimized for sunlight visibility and ships with an S Pen to take advantage of the screen.

The ATIV Q can dual boot between Android and Windows 8. It is possible to pin Android apps to the Windows screen and switching between the two operating system is as easy as pressing the Windows key. Powering the machine is a Haswell processor that should deliver close to 9 hours of autonomy. The laptop weighs 1.29kg and measures just about 13.9mm making it very portable. We’re still holding out for pricing details but will be sure to update this space as soon as we find out more.
