Two new mid-range smartphones from HTC, the Desire P and Desire Q were leaked in promo photos just a short while back and earlier this week, HTC Desire P was announced in Taiwan. Now, the other smartphone the HTC Desire Q has also been officially announced and the smartphone will go on sale in Taiwan for about $234, roughly translating to about Rs.12,700 in India.

The HTC Desire Q is an entry-level smartphone and comes with a 4-inch display that has a resolution
of 480 x 800 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz single-core
processor paired with 512MB of RAM and gets 4GB of internal storage,
which can be expanded by up to 32GB using a micro-SD card.
Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the HTC Desire
Q houses a 5 megapixel camera at the back along with an LED flash but
sadly, it misses out on a front facing camera. The smartphone gets
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G for connectivity, and it also gets Beats Audio technology, which is now a standard in almost all the HTC devices.
Powering the entire package, is a 1,650mAh battery. The smartphone’s availability is limited to Taiwan right now, but we hope that HTC brings the smartphone to other markets as well.
