A Verge forum member has published a alleged photo of what is rumored to be the Nokia Lumia 1520 a.k.a Bandit, a massive device with a 6-inch, 1080p display.
@evleaks claimed in its earlier post that Nokia’s alleged Bandit phablet will be dubbed as the Nokia Lumia 1520. In a tweet he said, “Nokia Bandit = Lumia 1520″.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 will reportedly feature the biggest display on a Lumia device launched till now. The image shows the two devices, the Lumia 1020 and the alleged Lumia 1520 kept side-by-side.
Though the site themselves did not confirm the authenticity, but says that it does appear to be authentic based on its consistency with previous leaks.
Additional grey flipcase suggests that the alleged Nokia Lumia 1520 will boast the same unibody shell as other Nokia Lumia devices.
Earlier the site also broke the news of Nokia testing a 6-inch device running an updated version of the Windows Phone 8 OS. The device which now is Nokia Lumia 1520 was earlier said to be code-named ‘Bandit’ and expected to include a full-HD (1080p) display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor. It also suggested that the alleged Nokia Lumia 1520 would ship with a 20-megapixel rear camera and may borrow the rear panel features of the Nokia Lumia 925 to accommodate the camera.
There are no confirm details of the launch date and pricing yet. But on Wednesday Windows Phone central claimed that AT&T and other carriers are looking to start selling Nokia Lumia 1520 by November.
Nokia Lumia 1520 will be bigger than the till date Nokia lumia 625 which was recently launched alongside Nokia Lumia 925 priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 33,499 respectively.
