After the monstrous success of the original Samsung Galaxy Grand, Samsung just introduced its new mid range device, the Galaxy Grand 2. Samsung’s Grand series has focused on big screens, and with the new 5.25 inch HD display on the Galaxy Grand 2 the company claims a convenient size with optimal large-screen experience.
The new Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 sports a 5.25 inch HD TFT with 16:9 ratio and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel. The device is powered by a Quad Core 1.2 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Galaxy Grand 2 is equipped with a 1.5 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal memory expandable up-to 64 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 has Dual SIM compatibility and is packed with a 2600 mAh battery. The dimensions of the device are 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm, and it weighs 163 grams. Grand 2 will also include features like Story Album, S Translater, S Travel, Sound and Shot, Samsung Hub, Group Play and Samsung Link. The handset will be using Samsung’s custom TouchWiz interface and apps, but seems to have dragged in some of the more useful ones from the company’s high-end devices. In particular, the Galaxy Grand 2 will have Multi Window support. The camera app includes Best Face, Best Photo, Continuous Shot, as well as the Sound & Shot feature that debuted with the S4.
