After launching Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 , Samsung is now planning to launch its budget Galaxy tab around January . The name of this tab would be Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite with model number SM-T11 and the price would be 100 EUROS which is around 8500 INR.
According Sam mobile. Till now the exact specifications of the hardware is not known. According to a previous news collected from Sam Mobile Samsung has commented they will ship 100 Millions Tablets in 2014 as they are planning for low end devices in order to compete with the onslaught of cheap-yet-respectably-spec’d devices made by Chinese manufacturers. With all these leaks we can clearly note that Samsung wants to make tablet line in two directions , one is for the budget conscious customers in order to cater to its fans and on the other hand providing high-end tablet line.
The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will come in both Wi-Fi and 3G models. The Wi-Fi model will be in Cream White color and will be the first to launch in the market in week two of 2014, followed by the 3G model in week three. There will be an Ebony Black color option for both variants next. From the wifi Certification published on Sam Mobile of SM-T11 we can say that the display will be 1024×600 resolution with an ARM Cortex-A9 CPU 32 bit dual core 1.2 Ghz processor running Android 4.2. Also, the tablet will come with 8 GB internal storage and 3 MP sensor camera. In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 the hardware is the same.
Currently, the Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch starts at $199 while the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is rumored at $129 range. In comparison to Google Nexus 7 which is manufactured by ASUS in India the hardware quality of Samsung tablets are quite poor.
