If this latest rumor is anything to go by, the long-rumored Nokia Catwalk aka the Nokia Lumia 928 could be launched on May 15 at an event in London. The credit for this latest rumor goes to an anonymous tipster, who gave this information to MyNokiaBlog and wishes to be referred as “South”.
If you’re really looking forward to the Nokia Lumia 920
successor, you should take this piece of information with a grain of
salt, as there is no authenticity to these claims. However, the website
says that “South” has been pretty accurate with his leaks in the past,
and there is no reason why he shouldn’t be trusted this time as well.
Interestingly, PhoneArena adds to report and says that the Nokia Catwalk would be reminiscent to the Nokia Lumia 720 in terms of looks and will be available in White, Black, Red and Cyan color options. The website expects the Nokia Catwalk to come with a 4.5-inch OLED display and 4G LTE connectivity.
According to the previous leaks, expect the Nokia Catwalk to be an aluminium-bodied cousin of the Nokia Lumia 920, which should make it thinner (and possibly lighter) than the Nokia Lumia
920. If it is indeed true, it will certainly be a welcome move by
Nokia, as we ourselves are not really fond of the bulky feel that the
Lumia 920 has.
Some of the leaks have also suggested
that the Nokia Catwalk will have a “killer” camera, and would destroy
the likes of iPhone 5 in terms of camera performance.
While Nokia Catwalk’s launch is surely a good news for smartphone lovers, but we are quite skeptical about the timing of launch of the device, which makes it fall in between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5S, which is rumored for a June/July launch.
