One was always left quizzical by people who found the need to use hashtags on Facebook, after all it isn’t Twitter! However, the Facebook newsroom has come out with its latest post stating that starting Yesterday, hashtags will be clickable on Facebook.
Much like Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, or Pinterest, hashtags on Facebook will allow you to add context to a post or indicate that it is part of a larger discussion. Just by clicking on a hashtag you will been able to see a feed of what other people and Page are saying about that event or topic.
But don’t worry, hashtags does not mean that any and everyone can view your posts in their feed. You, as usual, can control the audience for your posts.
With this new service you can now:
• Search for a specific hashtag from your search bar. For example, #Tech News
• Search for a specific hashtag from your search bar. For example, #Tech News
• Click on hashtags that originate on other services, such as Instagram.
• Compose posts directly from the hashtag feed and search results.

Hashtags are just the first step to help people more easily discover what others are saying about a specific topic and participate in public conversations.
